Overview

Being a Teenager Right Now

School pressure, friendships that change weekly, a phone that never stops, and a body rewriting its own rules. Most teenagers are handling more at once than the adults around them realise.

Counselling is not a punishment and not a sign that something is broken. It is one hour a week with someone who is not a parent, a teacher or a friend, and who will not report back on everything.

Our therapists work at a teenager's pace. Early sessions are often short on talking and long on getting comfortable, and that is a perfectly good place to start from.

Who it’s for

What Teens Talk About Here

Sessions start wherever your teenager wants them to. These are the subjects that come up most.

01

Exam Pressure

Boards, entrances, and the quiet fear of letting everybody down at once.

02

Friendship Trouble

Being left out, held to the group's rules, or bullied where adults cannot see.

03

Low Mood

Flat days, long sleep, and losing interest in things that used to matter.

04

Anger at Home

Arguments that escalate fast, slammed doors, and apologies nobody knows how to make.

05

Identity and Belonging

Working out who you are, gender and orientation included, without being rushed.

06

Phones and Comparison

Hours lost to scrolling, and a mood that drops a little further with every post.

What we offer

How We Work With Teenagers

Teenagers do not respond to a lecture. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and never about fixing them.

Talk Based Counselling

Unhurried conversation where your teenager decides what matters, with a therapist who does not grade, report or overreact.

CBT for Young People

Age appropriate tools for spiralling thoughts, exam panic and the habit of expecting the worst outcome first.

Expressive and Play Based Work

Drawing, writing and activity for younger teens, or anyone who finds eye contact and direct questions difficult.

Parent Guidance Sessions

Separate sessions for parents on what helps, what backfires, and how to stay close without interrogating.
